I am excited to share that my first tutorial for Gnomon Workshop was released last week. For anyone interested in learning how to capture head scans with a low budget approach and process the data into a head model that can be used in any animation pipeline, look no further!
See below some more information on the tutorial and a link to watch it on the Gnomon website.
Photogrammetry has become an integral part of the 3D industry, especially when creating digital characters. In this tutorial we will explore a guerrilla approach to capturing 3D heads – single camera head scanning. We will start by focusing on capturing and processing a head model using a single camera approach. Then we will explore how to cleanup and optimise the scan data to a stage where it can be used for any character look development pipeline.
